Medicare – BULK BILLING
Bulk billing means you don’t have to pay for your medical service at Woodleigh Waters Medical Centre. We bill Medicare on your behalf and we accept the Medicare benefit as full payment for our services. Please make sure your Medicare card is up-to-date and bring it with you to the surgery. If you don’t hold a current Medicare card there is a consult fee of $75 which we request that all patients pay on the day of their appointment, using cash or card (EFTPOS/Visa/MasterCard). Bulk billing will cover:
- Visits to Woodleigh Waters Medical Centre
- Some specialists that we refer you to
- Tests and scans like x-rays and pathology tests.
Woodleigh Waters Medical Centre does charge for special services. Please discuss fees with your consultant.
Important Notice to Patients
Dear Patients
Please be advised that we will be introducing Cancellation and Non-Attendance Fee effective 1st November 2023.
Patients who fail to attend an appointment without cancelling at least 4 hours prior, will be issued with a non-attendance fee of $45. This invoice will be sent to the patient’s email that has been registered on their file.
Respect and Consideration
Our doctors want to be available for your needs and for the needs of all of our patients. When a patient does not show for a scheduled appointment, other patients lose the opportunity to be seen. We understand that unplanned issues can arise, and you may need to cancel an appointment. Should this occur, we respectfully ask that scheduled appointments be cancelled at least 4 hours in advanced.
Appointments can be cancelled by responding to the appointment reminder sent by HotDoc, or by calling the practice on 8786 9596.
This policy covers:
- cancellation of appointments within a reasonable time – 4hrs prior to appointment
- consequences of patients not attending their appointments
- associated fees and procedures
